Everyone knows that summer is the funnest season. WHY? I'll
tell u why!
#1-NO SCHOOL
#2-You can stay up as late as u want
#3-The weather is nice
& warm
#4-swimming/camping
#5-you can walk around with practically no clothes on & not be classified
as "insane"
So why was my summer fun? Because I got to spend it with my friends :) & although
it may not have been the most interesting summer of all time, we sure made a lot of memories & did some silly shit.

-STORY TIME!!!-
One particular event that comes to mind which, unfortunately does not have
any pictures to go alongside it is a memorable trip to Upper Clements Park. Now...the only reason I'm sharing this memory
is because it is hilarious, frustrating & very difficult to explain just how stupid I am. So here goes-
On Sunday August 29th, my birthday & also the day after some heavy
drinking, I decide that it would be awesome if Amanda, Anna & I went to Upper Clements Park for the day. So that's just
what we did! We left around lunch time & made our way there, thinking we knew exactly how to get there. Boy were we WRONG!
We travelled in the same direction for over an hour & realized we had no idea where we were going so Amanda called her
sister for directions & she had no idea where we were either, so we turned around & drove til we saw a particular
sign. Once we found it, we had to follow that road. Turns out we had passed it @ least 20 mins earlier. We finally found Upper
Clements Park after 2 & a half hours. By that time, I wanted to kill myself. But I was ecstatic that we had made it. 3:00pm
& we just walked through the entrance. We had a blast going on the flume, the roller coaster, the waterslide & the
rockoplanes...even though they were absolute murder on mine & Anna's hip bones. Talk about OUCH. Around 6:00pm,
I broke my flip flop & I'll tell ya, it's not easy walking around in a broken flip flop...YOU TRY IT!!!!& it
was too rocky to walk barefoot. We grabbed a bite to eat & then by that time, we were exhausted so we changed into
dry clothes...behind bushes no less, & headed for home. On our way out of the Valley, we saw a little highway sign, so
we all figured it'd be faster than taking the back roads. WRONG AGAIN. We all assumed we were @ exit 20 on highway 103 &
all we had to do was drive til we reached exit 13. HAH. Really we were @ exit 20 on highway 101 & by the time we reached
to exit 13 & it said Windsor, next 2 exits or some bullshit like that...we knew we were screwed. So Amanda called
her dad & he had to dig out a map to find out where the hell we were. Christ were we ever horrible navigators. We
turned around again & drove til we found a familiar exit. I think it was Kentville...8:00 & I was getting fucking ticked
off...& thirsty, so we went to Irving to buy a drink & pee & a cute guy gave us directions. Mind you,
they didn't help one bit, but it'd be impolite to tell him to shut the fuck up. Then we drove til we saw the Slumber
Inn & then went on the New Ross rd. Just when I thought the night couldn't get any worse...sirens & lights started
flashing behind us. The only thing going through my mind was "Oh fuck" but it went right past us & it wasn't even a cop
car...it was search & rescue. A couple mins later, another one drives by with a boat on the back. Rather curious...turns
out a bunch of teenagers were swimming at some depot & one of them was missing. I hope no one drowned :{
So we finally made it home. What time was it you ask???Almost 11:00pm!!!!!!!!If u
ask me, it wasn't worth it. 2 & a half hours to get to Upper Clements Park, 3 hours there, & then 4 hours to
get home. Once I got home, I went on the net & studied a map. No joke. There was no way that was ever going to happen
to me again. The next time I laid eyes on the highway...I nearly vomited.
THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS...BUY A MAP BEFORE YOU GO ON A ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!...Oh
& always bring another pair of shoes with u wherever u go. God speed.
